"Allah does not charge a soul except [with that within] its capacity. It will have [the consequence of] what [good] it has gained, and it will bear [the consequence of] what [evil] it has earned. Our Lord, do not impose blame upon us if we have forgotten or erred. Our Lord, and lay not upon us a burden like that which You laid upon those before us. Our Lord, and burden us not with that which we have no ability to bear. And pardon us; and forgive us; and have mercy upon us. You are our protector, so give us victory over the disbelieving people."
Surah Al-Baqarah · 2:286
This verse directly addresses the cognitive burden and excessive worry in anxiety by affirming Allah does not burden beyond capacity and provides a supplication against overwhelming mental burdens.
"And whoever relies upon Allah - then He is sufficient for him. Indeed, Allah will accomplish His purpose. Allah has already set for everything a [decreed] extent."
Surah At-Talaq · 65:3

"Say, 'O My servants who have transgressed against themselves [by sinning], do not despair of the mercy of Allah. Indeed, Allah forgives all sins. Indeed, it is He who is the Forgiving, the Merciful.'"
Surah Az-Zumar · 39:53
This verse addresses guilt-driven anxiety and existential despair by removing the source of spiritual anxiety through assurance of divine forgiveness.
"No one is afflicted with distress and grief and says: 'O Allah, I am Your servant, son of Your servant, son of Your maidservant; my forelock is in Your hand, Your command over me is forever executed and Your decree over me is just. I ask You by every name belonging to You which You have named Yourself with, or revealed in Your Book, or taught to any of Your creation, or preserved in the knowledge of the Unseen with You, that You make the Qur'an the life of my heart and the light of my breast, and a departure for my sorrow and a release for my anxiety,' except that Allah will take away his distress and grief, and replace it with relief."

Sunan Abi Dawud · 1525SahihNarrator: Anas ibn Malik
