Classical Medical Sources
Ibn Sīnā · Al-Qānūn fī al-Ṭibb
Ibn Sina, Al-Qanun fi al-Tibb, Book 3, Fann 9 (Diseases of the Kidneys and Bladder), Chapter on Involuntary Urination (Salas al-Bawl) — attributes bedwetting to weakness of bladder retention faculty, cold temperament of kidneys, or weakness of nerve sensation, treating with warming and astringent remedies to strengthen bladder tone.
Ibn al-Qayyim al-Jawziyyah · Al-Ṭibb an-Nabawī
While Ibn al-Qayyim's At-Tibb an-Nabawi does not dedicate a specific chapter to childhood enuresis, he discusses general principles of cold/wet temperament imbalances affecting urinary retention in his sections on kidney and bladder health, recommending warming herbs and behavioral timing.
