Quran

"O mankind, eat from whatever is on earth [that is] lawful and good and do not follow the footsteps of Satan. Indeed, he is to you a clear enemy."

Surah Al-Baqarah · 2:168

Emphasizes consuming pure and wholesome foods, which aligns with the dietary management of dyslipidemia by avoiding excessive harmful fats and promoting clean nutrition.

"Eat from the good things with which We have provided you and do not transgress [or oppress others] therein, lest My anger should descend upon you. And he upon whom My anger descends has certainly fallen."

Surah Ta-Ha · 20:81

Warns against dietary transgression and excess, directly relevant to hyperlipidemia caused by overconsumption of rich foods leading to elevated cholesterol.

"O messengers, eat from the good foods and work righteousness. Indeed, I, of what you do, am Knowing."

Surah Al-Mu'minun · 23:51

Divine instruction to consume wholesome foods connects to preventing dyslipidemia through selection of nutritious foods low in saturated fats and refined substances.

Sahih Hadith

"No human ever filled a vessel worse than the stomach. Sufficient for any son of Adam are some morsels to keep his back straight. But if it must be, then one third for his food, one third for his drink and one third for his breath."

Sunan Ibn Majah · 3349HasanNarrator: Miqdam ibn Ma'dikarib

Directly addresses overeating as root cause of metabolic disorders including dyslipidemia, establishing portion control as prophetic preventive medicine for cholesterol elevation.

"A believer eats in one intestine (is satisfied with little food), and a non-believer eats in seven intestines (eats much)."

Sahih Muslim · 2033SahihNarrator: Abu Huraira

Encourages moderation in eating habits, which is fundamental to preventing lipid accumulation and managing elevated cholesterol through controlled caloric intake.

"I do not eat while reclining."

Jami at-Tirmidhi · 1858HasanNarrator: Abu Juhayfah

The Prophet's practice of not reclining while eating promotes mindful eating and smaller meal portions, preventing overconsumption linked to dyslipidemia development.
