Exhaustive Revelation

Quran

"Those who consume interest cannot stand [on the Day of Resurrection] except as one stands who is being beaten by Satan into insanity."

Surah Al-Baqarah · 2:275

This verse explicitly mentions the state of one afflicted by Jinn (mass min ash-shaytan), directly addressing the reality of spiritual possession.

"And remember Our servant Job, when he called to his Lord, 'Indeed, Satan has touched me with hardship and torment.'"

Surah Sad · 38:41

Prophet Ayyub's supplication when afflicted by Satan's touch demonstrates the prophetic precedent for seeking divine cure from spiritual affliction.

"And say, 'My Lord, I seek refuge in You from the incitements of the devils, and I seek refuge in You, my Lord, lest they be present with me.'"

Surah Al-Mu'minun · 23:97-98

This supplication taught by Allah provides the specific formula for protection against the presence and influence of Jinn.

Sahih Hadith

"I came to the Prophet and said: 'O Messenger of Allah, the Satan intervenes between me and my prayer and my recitation of the Quran and he confuses me.' The Messenger of Allah said: 'That is a devil called Khinzab, so when you sense his presence, seek refuge with Allah from him and spit three times to your left.' He said: I did that and Allah removed him from me."

Sahih Muslim · 2197SahihNarrator: Uthman ibn Abi al-As

This hadith provides the specific prophetic prescription for treating Jinn interference through seeking refuge and the act of spitting dry three times to the left.

"Jibril came to the Prophet and said: 'O Muhammad, are you suffering?' He said: 'Yes.' He said: 'In the name of Allah I perform ruqyah for you, from everything that harms you, from the evil of every soul or envious eye, may Allah cure you, in the name of Allah I perform ruqyah for you.'"

Sunan Abi Dawud · 3883SahihNarrator: Abu Sa'id al-Khudri

This hadith provides the authentic formula of Ruqyah revealed by Jibril for protection against spiritual harm including Jinn affliction.

"The Prophet used to seek refuge for al-Hasan and al-Husayn and say: 'Your father used to seek refuge with these words for Isma'il and Ishaq: I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from every devil and harmful thing and from every evil eye.'"

Sahih Muslim · 2202SahihNarrator: Ibn Abbas

This prophetic formula for seeking refuge specifically mentions protection from devils (shaytan) and represents the practice inherited from Prophet Ibrahim for spiritual protection.
