Exhaustive Revelation

Quran

"Allah is the one who created you from weakness, then made after weakness strength, then made after strength weakness and white hair. He creates what He wills, and He is the Knowing, the Competent."

Surah Ar-Rum · 30:54

This verse describes the natural life stages including the transition from strength to weakness in later life, acknowledging menopause as part of Allah's natural design for women's aging.

"O People, if you should be in doubt about the Resurrection, then [consider that] indeed, We created you from dust, then from a sperm-drop, then from a clinging clot, then from a lump of flesh, formed and unformed - that We may show you. And We settle in the wombs whom We will for a specified term."

Surah Al-Hajj · 22:5

This verse references the specified term of womb function, indicating that reproductive capacity has a divinely appointed end point, normalizing the cessation of menstruation.

Sahih Hadith

"Aisha reported: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) would command me to wear a waist-wrapper and then he would embrace me while I was menstruating, and he would put out his head to me while he was in I'tikaf and I would wash it while I was menstruating."

Sahih Muslim · 1470SahihNarrator: Aisha

This hadith establishes principles of physical intimacy during menstruation, which applies to perimenopausal irregular bleeding when determining marital relations during transitional bleeding patterns.

"Umm Habibah bint Jahsh had istihadah (non-menstrual bleeding) for seven years. She asked the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) about it, and he commanded her to perform ghusl. She said: 'I have istihadah.' The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: 'That is a vein, not menstruation. When menstruation comes, leave prayer, and when it goes, perform ghusl and pray.'"

Sunan Abi Dawud · 304SahihNarrator: Umm Salamah

This hadith addresses prolonged irregular bleeding (istihadah), a common perimenopausal symptom, providing guidance on distinguishing menstrual from non-menstrual bleeding during hormonal transitions.
